#28 Human Will: A Cosmic Force
8Collections 2:106; Glimmerings of Holiness 3:80; Patches of Clarity 4

There will yet be revealed in the world,

through the mysteries of Torah,

the huge value of the force that is [called] the will of a person1,

and the extent to which it determines [his] situation2 in reality.

And this revelation will be the crown of all of science as a whole,

and will be sought by all the world from Israel.

Footnotes

  1. Human will, in the shape of human choice, has already shocked the scientific world, and brought down the “glass wall” science presumed divided it from the universe it was examining. Whether light behaves like a particle or a wave depends on what we set up our scientific apparatus to look for. Back to text
  2. Madregato, literally, ‘his level.’ This sentence is also readable in a universal singular, having import for all mankind as well as each individual: “There will yet be revealed in the world, the huge value of the force that is [called] Human Will, and the extent to which it determines [humanity’s] situation in reality.” Back to text
